The most popular way to add borders to tables is with the primitive border="n" tag where “n” is a number expressing the thickness in pixels, so a table using <table boder="1"> looks like this:

But CSS comes to the rescue with a few simple statements like these:
table { border-collapse: collapse; border: 1px solid #0214cf; }
th, td { border: 1px dashed #0214cf;}
